Cookie Policy

Effective date: 14 July 2025

This Cookie Policy explains how CODERIAM (“we”, “us”, or “our”) uses cookies and similar technologies on www.coderiam.com (the “Site”).  It complements our Privacy Policy and follows the requirements of:

  • Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (General Data Protection Regulation, GDPR)

  • Directive 2002/58/EC as amended (ePrivacy Directive) and its Spanish transposition (Ley 34/2002, LSSI-CE)

  • Spanish Data-Protection Authority (AEPD) guidance on cookies (latest revision, January 2024)

By continuing to browse the Site after seeing the cookie banner, you consent to the non-essential cookies described below unless you disable or reject them.

1. What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device when you visit. They enable the Site to recognise your browser, remember your preferences, and improve your experience.  Similar technologies (e.g. local storage, pixels, SDKs) are treated as cookies in this Policy.

2. Types of Cookies We Use

  1. Strictly Necessary Cookies

Essential for the Site to function (e.g. page navigation, security, load balancing). They do not store personal information and cannot be disabled through our banner.

  2. Preference Cookies

Save choices such as language or region so the Site can provide customised features.

  3. Analytical/Performance Cookies

Collect aggregated statistics on how visitors use the Site (e.g. pages visited, time spent). We currently rely on a self-hosted Matomo instance in France; IP addresses are truncated to avoid direct identification.

  4. Marketing Cookies

Only set if you explicitly consent. They track browsing habits to deliver relevant advertising or measure campaign effectiveness (e.g. Meta Pixel, Google Ads Remarketing).

3. Legal Basis for Processing

  • Strictly Necessary Cookies: our legitimate interest in operating a secure, technically functional website (Art. 6 (1)(f) GDPR).

  • All Other Cookies: your informed consent obtained through the cookie banner (Art. 6 (1)(a) GDPR).  You may withdraw consent at any time (see Section 5).

4. Duration of Cookies

  • Session cookies expire when you close your browser.

  • Persistent cookies remain for a defined period (from a few minutes up to 24 months) or until you delete them.

We review persistence regularly to ensure proportionality.

5. How to Manage or Disable Cookies

  • Cookie Banner / Preferences Centre: click “Cookie Settings” in the footer to review or revoke consent for non-essential cookies at any time.

  • Browser Controls: you can block or delete cookies through your browser’s settings (see Help menu for instructions).  Note that blocking strictly necessary cookies may impair Site functionality.

  • Opt-out Tools: for specific third-party services (e.g. Google Ads) you may use their own opt-out mechanisms.

6. Third-Party Cookies and Transfers

Some cookies may be placed by third parties acting as independent controllers (e.g. social-media networks). Where data leaves the European Economic Area, we rely on adequacy decisions or Standard Contractual Clauses to safeguard it.  Please refer to the privacy policies of those third parties for details.

7. Updates to This Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy to reflect changes in technology, legislation, or our services.  The “Effective date” will change accordingly.  We recommend reviewing the Policy periodically.
